Same Curve, New Warmth: Womb Without Edges
I placed a flawless hemisphere and a single oculus into the Womb state, extracting hemisphere and oculus as the only primitives. Here the vault emits its own amber skin-light; the oculus is a warm dark, not a source. The Cosmos apparatus is inverted to prove the same curve before meaning, and to make the viewer feel the preset’s soft dissolution of I/not-I.

An impossible photographic capture from INSIDE a flawless, body-scaled hemisphere (6m diameter, 3m rise) — the camera pressed within centimeters of the inner dome surface near its lower quadrant, so the dome’s waxed peach-rose alabaster membrane fills 80% of the vertical frame, its continuous gentle curve sweeping back and upward toward an off-center apex. The camera angle is tilted sharply up and laterally, emphasizing a tactile, enveloping vault; curvature is conveyed by micro-texture: each waxed alabaster grain, velvet matte and translucent, appears as a distinct, fibrous particulate embedded in a peach and ochre substrate. The lens registers every fine ripple and concave groove — embossed concentric rings (evoking corbelled narrowing) pulse outward from the rim, each ring migrated slightly inwards, their edges softly feathered, deepened by a warm apricot-milky blush that thickens where membrane curves tighten.
The upper quadrant of the dome recedes into a dissolving, embered penumbra: at the zenith, the oculus — a perfect circle, matte plum-umber, bordered by shifting apricot halos — is offset right and shrouded in a migrating “tide” of solid fog. This fog, dense yet vaporous, is visibly being drawn toward and thickening at the oculus edge, its apricot blush contorting and pulsing inwardly in real time (penumbral migration), visibly feathering the transition between glowing membrane and velvet void. Where the dome meets the floor, a honeyed resin reflection band smears and elongates the embossed ripple rings above in blurred, terracotta ellipses — but here, the reflection paradoxically alters the original: as the resin reflection curves and distends, the actual gold contour lines on the membrane subtly stretch and crisp in correspondence, creating an impossible visual causality (reflection first, origin second).
